We are extremely proud to announce Rubislaw’s catering team won the Scottish Care award for Nutrition & Eating Well this year.
The awards celebrate: “the tremendous work undertaken by organisations and staff who work in residential care and nursing home services.”
For the second year running, our catering team reached the final stages of the Nutrition & Eating Well award but this year they went a step further and our Catering Manager Damien Jarvis picked up the accolade on behalf of the team.
In addition, our in-house beauty therapist Alicia Tereskiewiczova was a finalist in this year’s category to recognise Ancillary & Support Staff in praise for her work at our home.
Our Rubislaw Park Care Home catering team join our award-winning Sarah Taylor who was named Carer of the Year at the Scottish Care Home Awards in 2016.
Our Director of Care Kristin Jackson-Brown said: “After reaching the finals in 2016, we are very proud that our catering team won this year’s award in recognition of their tireless efforts throughout the year.
“We are committed to providing care of the very highest standard in a ‘home-from-home’ environment, and good nutrition is central to what we do. We are feeding people all of their meals all of the time so it’s very important to stay creative and make sure the meals are in season and interesting. Damien and his team do all that and much more, and we are delighted that their hard work has brought them this success.”
