Building Friendships Across Generations at Rubislaw Park Care Home

At Rubislaw Park Care Home, some of the most meaningful moments come from bringing people together, and our regular visits with local nursery children continue to do exactly that.

Residents have been enjoying ongoing visits from children at Bright Horizons Nursery and St Margaret’s Nursery, creating valuable opportunities for different generations to connect, learn from one another and share special experiences.

During each visit, residents and children spend time taking part in a variety of activities including arts and crafts, games, storytelling and conversation. While the activities themselves are always enjoyable, it is often the friendships and connections that develop that make these visits so special.

The atmosphere during these sessions is always full of laughter, smiles and enthusiasm. Residents enjoy hearing about the children's adventures and interests, while the children benefit from spending time with older generations, learning new skills and building confidence in social situations.
