Rubislaw Park is a care home located in Aberdeen which provides high standards of Respite Care, as well as Nursing, Residential and Dementia Care. Our home accommodates up to 86 residents in beautifully decorated en-suite bedrooms and offers a luxury, all-inclusive way of living.
Respite Care is designed to offer those who are caregivers a short break for themselves by moving the person that they care for into a care home for a period of time. Caregivers are often friends or family members who have taken on the role of a carer and the demands of this can sometimes mean that they need a form of respite themselves. This form of care allows caregivers to put a focus on their own health and wellbeing whilst feeling reassured that the person they usually care for is being well looked after.
Those who are in recovery from an illness, injury, or time in hospital may also wish to receive Respite Care to get the continued care and support they need to get back on their feet. This is especially beneficial to those who may not be able to look after themselves at home and instead can make use of the around-the-clock care and facilities a care home offers.
Respite Care can last anywhere between several days and a few weeks, and at Rubislaw Park we offer a tailored approach to all our care types. When moving into our home, no matter for what reason or how long for, we offer a consultation to discuss how we can best meet each resident’s needs, followed by creating a person-centred care and lifestyle plan to ensure each and every requirement is successfully met.
At Rubislaw Park, we understand how difficult of a decision it can be when considering moving into a care home. Many of our prospective residents arrange for Respite Care as a short-term trial to get a better feel for the way we care for our residents and the facilities that we have to offer, before making their final decision. We also offer day care to give those in our local community extra flexible support when it is needed. Our care home is situated in the ideal location of the West End of Aberdeen and provides high-quality facilities and care for older people and those with health conditions and physical disabilities. Whether you stay with us for a few days or longer, we welcome each and every person who stays with us to make full use of our facilities and activities and join in with our excursions out of the home if possible. When in the home, residents can benefit from socialising in our dining room, lounges or gardens, taking time for themselves in our Hair Salon and Treatment Room, or inviting their loved ones for a viewing in our Cinema or to watch any of the entertainment we welcome into our home.
Aberdeen offers a perfect blend of city, coast, and countryside and our Activities Team ensures our residents get to make the most out of living in this fantastic port city. Rubislaw Park has gardens set within two acres of greenery as well as being surrounded by areas that are perfect for nature watching, walking, and getting some fresh air. Hazelhead Park and Johnston Gardens are both less than 10-minutes away and offer great opportunities for peace and relaxation. For those who like shopping, history, and culture, Aberdeen city centre offers all of this and more with attractions such as Bon Accord and Aberdeen Maritime Museum.
