Nursing Home in Aberdeen

Our nursing home located in Aberdeen provides exceptional standards of professional specialist care by an exceptional team of qualified and dedicated nurses. We supply around the clock care for older people with nursing needs, including those living with physical disabilities and high dependency care needs, as well as those who have become infirm or require end-of-life care.

Our friendly care team is excellent at understanding the different levels of care and recognising when it is the right option for our residents. Their extensive knowledge and experience means we can quickly identify any changes in the health of our residents, as well as knowing when it’s necessary to involve a doctor.

What is a Nursing Home?

A Nursing Home is a care facility where there are qualified nurses as well as care teams to provide exceptional care and support to those who have particular requirements, such as disabilities or illnesses. You can also get Nursing Homes that are referred to as Residential Nursing Homes or Residential Care Homes, and these offer a range of care such as Residential, Dementia, and Respite Care, like our Nursing Home in Aberdeen.

As well as offering 24-hour care, homes will have a variety of specialist equipment at their disposal, such as profiling beds, mobility aids and Nurse Call Systems all in a homely environment.

What does Nursing Care Entail?

Nursing Care is most appropriate for those who require continuous attention, both medically and personally. The level of care a resident receives is entirely dependent on their individual circumstances. Some residents may just require help with medication management and support in day-to-day activities. Others who suffer from more physical limitations, long-term health conditions, or who need rehabilitative care may require a higher level of assistance. Our passionate team work closely with each resident to ensure they have personalised care plans, treating their needs with the highest standards.

Some nursing care homes also have specific units or are trained to give a specialist type of care, such as to those with Dementia and Alzheimers, Crohn’s Disease & Colitis, or Motor Nuerone Disease.

What Can I Expect from Nursing Care at Rubislaw Park?

From the very first contact with our home, we offer a thorough experience that is completely unique to the resident in question and their care needs. We know that determining which type of care is best for your loved one can be a challenge, which is why we welcome prospective residents and their families to come in for a consultation prior to moving into Rubislaw Park so that we can assess their requirements and offer our guidance and advice on what we believe the best approach to care for them is.

When a resident becomes a part of our family, we start by again inviting their loved ones to the home so we can establish care plans together, ensuring each and every one of their individual medical and personal care needs is met. We have a person-centred approach in everything we do and place the utmost importance on providing our residents with a perfect home that they are comfortable in and with the facilities they need to continue living their lives the way they wish in a happy atmosphere.

To further highlight our person-centred specialist care, Rubislaw Park uses a method called Key Nursing, which means that each resident is allocated their very own Nurse. The purpose of this is that their assigned Nurse becomes a friendly and familiar face that will provide ongoing support to their residents as well as their families and friends. They will give 24-hour support whilst encouraging our residents’ independence, all in a way that maintains their dignity.

Our highly skilled and dedicated staff work hard to ensure that all of our residents living in our home feel loved and are able to live comfortably and happily, whilst being there to support them at all times of the day. Every single one of our residents is valued for who they are, which is why our dedicated caring staff go to great lengths to incorporate their interests and preferences in as much as we can, from dining options to our activities programme. At Rubislaw Park, there is something for everyone.

At Rubislaw Park, we strongly believe that high-quality care isn’t just the medical services we provide, but the overall lifestyle and opportunities we can offer. Each and every one of our residents will be given their own carefully designed en-suite room, as well as have access to a plethora of first-class facilities such as fine dining, a Hair Salon and Treatment Room, and a Cinema, all in the comfort of their own home. We also work hard to put together an inclusive daily activities programme to ensure our residents remain social and stimulated.
