To further highlight our person-centred specialist care, Rubislaw Park uses a method called ‘key nursing’, which means that each resident is allocated their very own nurse. The purpose of this is that their assigned nurse becomes a friendly and familiar face that will provide ongoing support to their residents as well as their friends and families. They will give 24-hour support whilst encouraging our residents’ independence, all in a way that maintains their dignity.

Our highly skilled and dedicated staff work hard to ensure that all of our residents living in our home feel loved and are able to live comfortably and happily, whilst being there to support them at all times of the day. Every single one of our residents is valued for who they are, which is why our dedicated caring staff go to great lengths to incorporate their interests and preferences in as much as we can, from dining options to our activities programme. Each and every one of our residents will be given their own carefully designed en-suite room, as well as have access to a plethora of first-class facilities such as fine dining, a Hair Salon and Treatment Room, and a Cinema, all in the comfort of their own home. We also work hard to put together an inclusive daily activities programme to ensure our residents remain social and stimulated.

Within our nursing home in Aberdeen, we provide both nursing and residential care as well as support to those living with dementia or who require respite. With every single one of our residents, we like to ensure they become familiar with their neighbourhood and make the most of our home, the local community and area. We place great importance on prioritising the overall health and wellbeing of our residents, and our Activities team go to great lengths to listen to what our residents like to do and incorporate it into our weekly programme.

Situated within two-acres of greenery and nature, our home offers an abundance of opportunities to watch wildlife and take a moment’s peace in the fresh air. Residents can also benefit from the great outdoors just less than a 10-minute drive away at Duthie Park Winter Gardens. Here residents can enjoy time together or with their loved ones on a sunny day, admiring the indoor plant display, having lunch by the bandstand, or even taking the children to play around in the park.  

For day trips out, Aberdeen gives a real variety of things to do. For those who like to leisurely explore and grab a bite to eat, the little fishing village of Footdee is less than 15 minutes from Rubislaw Park, and offers quaint little streets as well as Aberdeen Beach to roam around. Residents who like to do a spot of shopping can visit Bon Accord & St Nicholas for everything they need, or if they prefer a more historic excursion then they have the option to visit the Aberdeen Maritime Museum.
