Inclusive Technology In Action

Tuesday morning brought a moment of creativity and connection at Rubislaw Park Care Home as residents took part in an engaging underwater-themed activity on our specialist Tiny Tablet. The session, part of our regular Cults & Cove group, encouraged gentle exploration through interactive and sensory play.

One resident particularly enjoyed guiding colourful fish across the screen, using light taps to help them glide through the water. The experience was simple but deeply engaging, offering both relaxation and stimulation. Each movement built focus and coordination while giving residents a sense of accomplishment and joy.

The Tiny Tablet is designed to be accessible for people living with dementia or physical challenges. Activities like this create meaningful engagement without pressure, encouraging participation at each person’s own pace. For staff and residents alike, watching these connections form is a wonderful reminder of how technology can support wellbeing in thoughtful, inclusive ways.

Moments like this highlight what we strive for at Rubislaw Park, providing experiences that promote happiness, confidence and a renewed sense of curiosity in a welcoming environment.
